The digital revolution has transformed education at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. This session focuses on curricular changes recently implemented to prepare predoctoral dental students in all phases of implant dentistry. With the advent of digital dentistry and the ability to merge cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and intraoral optical scanning technologies, a dentist is now able to reliably plan and execute the placement of a dental implant with a high degree of accuracy and precision.

This session will review curriculum changes designed to teach students to place and restore implants within the context of a general dental practice.
