A review of IVC placement techniques on difficult veins, anesthetic considerations for several disease pathologies, and nutritional considerations and feeding tubes for post-operative patients, as well as disease and disinfection.

Amy is currently employed with BluePearl Veterinary Partners as the National Veterinary Technician Training Manager. In 2003 she became a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care. She currently sits on the Academy of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Technicians board as the President. Amy is well published in over 15 subjects, is an international speaker, has received numerous awards and highly involved in her community. Amy was awarded the Speaker of the Year at the 2014 NAVC Conference as well as the 2015 Western Veterinary Conference Speaker of the Year. She lives in Massachusetts with her wonderful furry kids.

Ann is a 1983 graduate of Michigan State University, and got her specialty certification in Emergency/ Critical Care in 2000, in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2008 and in Nutrition in 2013.

She has worked in general, emergency, specialty practice, management and education. Ann is active in her state, national and specialty organizations, serving as a mentor to over 18 other VTSs and on a variety of committees and positions. She is currently working at Ashworth College, and 4 Cats Consulting.

She has over 50 published articles in various professional magazines as well as book chapters and a Nutrition book for veterinary technicians in its second edition.
