I am a professor of Community Science and Practice and Social and Behavioral Sciences at New York University College of Global Public Health and a former Professor at Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. I received my doctorate in public health from the School of Public Health in the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. I have more than two decades of funded research ( e.g.: CDC, HUD, NIH, HRSA) and experience in community intervention science and practice. I teach graduate courses in community-based participatory research and program planning and evaluation and direct the undergraduate programs in global public health.
