Dr. Clarke is celebrating six years as the Program Manager of the Carolina Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Center (CGWEP) under the Center for Aging and Health, Division of Geriatrics in the UNC School of Medicine http://www.med.unc.edu/aging/cgec/
The mission of the CGWEP is to provide evidence-based and culturally competent geriatrics education and training to enable health professionals to better serve the state’s increasingly diverse older adult populations. CGWEP goals include improving health care practice, serving rural and clinically underserved areas of North Carolina, and promoting interprofessional practice. The CGWEP has trained over 29,000 health care providers in geriatrics since 2010.
