Dr. Amy Oxentenko is a Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She completed IM Residency, Chief Residency and GI Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, being a recipient of the IM Residency's Outstanding Achievement Award, the GI Division's Bargen Award, and the Institutional Mayo Brothers' Distinguished Fellowship Award. She served as APD for the GI Fellowship and APD for the IM Residency before taking over as the PD of the GI Fellowship/Advanced Fellowship Programs, a role she held for 3 years before taking over as the IM Residency PD, a role she currently serves. She has served as Associate Chair for Education for GI, and is now an Associate Chair for the Department of IM. She is a prior Co-Director of Mayo's GI Board Review Course, and Co-Editor for the GI/Hepatology Board Review Book. She has been an author and editor for GI MKSAP. She has served as the GI content writer for the IM In-Training Examination. She is past Chair of ACG's Women in GI and Self-Assessment Test committees, a past member of ACG's Training and Educational Affairs committees, and serves on ACG's Professionalism Committee and the MOC Task Force. She helped create and Co-Chaired the ACG Train-the-Trainer program, and serves as Vice Chair for the WGO's TTT Program. She is a prior ACG representative for the Multi-Society GI Program Director Caucus. She received the ACG/Salix Leadership Training Award, and attended High Potential Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. She serves on the ACGME Review Committee for IM. She was a recipient of the Department of IM Distinguished Contributions to Medical Education Award, Mayo's Program Director of the Year Award, and Mayo's prestigious Distinguished Educator Award. She joined the ACG Board of Trustees in 2017, and became one of the Senior Associate Editors for the AJG in 2019.
