After obtaining degrees from Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Dr. Soulen was Resident and Chief Resident in Radiology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by Clinical and Research Fellowships in Interventional Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He joined the faculty at the Unversity of Pennsylvania in 1991, where he is now Professor of Radiology & Surgery and Director of Interventional Oncology. He specializes in hepatic oncology and associated heaptobiliary diseases, with a particular focus on neuroendocrine tumors. Dr. Soulen serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Interventional Oncology and the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society.
