Dr. Melissa Latorre received her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University. She completed medical school at the State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center and residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. She practiced hospital medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center prior to pursuing gastroenterology. She completed a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center and simultaneously received a Master’s degree in patient-oriented research from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She is currently Director of Inpatient Gastroenterology Services at NYU Langone Health - Tisch Hospital/Kimmel Pavilion and an Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Medicine.
