Kathy Patricia Bull-Henry, MD, specializes in small bowel imaging including single balloon enteroscopy, double balloon enteroscopy, and wireless video capsule endoscopy. In addition, she has a special interest in innovation in medical education and the use of artificial intelligence to attain greater diagnostic efficiencies, to improve patient outcomes and to achieve cost savings. Dr. Bull-Henry completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Vassar College, followed by medical school at Boston University. She holds a Master's of Business Administration from University of Maryland, College Park. She completed her internal medicine internship, residency, and chief residency at Columbia University with Harlem Hospital in New York. She completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Howard University, followed by an advanced fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy with Georgetown University Hospital. She was previously on the faculty at Georgetown University Hospital where she served as the GI Fellowship Program Director. Presently, she is on the faculty at Johns Hopkins University practicing at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital. Research interests include small bowel GI bleeding and using big data to improve patient care. She is active in a number of professional societies and currently serves as Chair of the Training Committee, as a member of the Educational Affairs Committee, and as a Governor for the District of Columbia for ACG.
