The writer also will find out how a power distance can affect whether an employee greets his/her boss by using word ~san or he/she greets his/her boss by using the boss position. This method which has been used in this research is by using the analytic descriptive method. The writer distributed questionnaires to collect the data, which were analyzed based on the types of industry, company, greeting way, and how close the employees interact with their supervisors, managers, or directors. The results show that most of the respondents have a close relationship with their bosses. Therefore, they call their bosses by using their family names added with ~san. This is possible as the bosses do not let the way of greeting become an issue.
