Dr. Iaccarino is an Instructor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School and attending physician in the MGH for Children Youth Concussion program, the MGH/Red Sox Foundation Home Base program for veterans with mild traumatic brain injury, and the Harvard Brain and Body Program for retired NFL football players.

Sabrina Paganoni

Sabrina Paganoni is an Assistant Professor of PM&R at Harvard Medical School, Spaulding Rehabiltation Hospital. She obtained her MD degree at the University of Milan in Italy and a PhD in Neuroscience at Northwestern University (Chicago, IL). She completed her medical training in Boston (residency in PM&R at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and fellowship in EMG/Neuromuscular Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital). She is Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neuromuscular Medicine, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She is currently working at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and at MGH in the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) clinic. She is faculty at the MGH Neurological Clinical Research Institute and her research focuses on ALS therapy development. She is the Principal Investigator (PI) of three ALS clinical trials and is using novel neuroimaging techniques as pharmacodynamic biomarkers. She is also passionate about developing innovative assistive technology tools that can improve quality of life for people with ALS.

Birmingham VA Medical Center/Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital

Marcalee Alexander, MD is Director of Opiate Safety at the Birmingham VA Medical Center, Clinical Professor at University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of PM&R and runs a sexuality telehealth clinic at Spalding Rehabilitation Hopsital. She has performed significant research in sexual and autonomic function after SCI, is a former ASIA president and currently services as the Editor-In-Chief of Spinal Cord Series and Cases. Dr. Alexander is an avid proponent of telemedicine, having actively performed telehealth services at the VA for 5 years and having developed a telerehabilitation program. Additionally, she is a consultant for the Spaulding-Harvard Model SCI System.
