Carley Sauter, M.D. is a board certified Physiatrist and Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She specializes in comprehensive care of neck and back disorders, working primarily with the outpatient SpineCare program. She is also board certified in Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Sauter serves as the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education for the Department of PM&R at the Medical College of Wisconsin where she is active in development and evaluation of rotations in PM&R as well as teaching medical students at all levels. Her PM&R residency was completed at the Medical College of Wisconsin where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Laura Kezar is a professor in the Department of Physical Medicine &Rehabilitation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She obtained her MD degree from Emory University and completed a Transitional Internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. She served as a General Medical Officer in the US Naval Reserves for eight years. She completed residency in PM&R at UAB in 1994. She became Associate Dean for Students at UAB School of Medicine in 2007 after 12 years as PM&R Residency Program Director. She has helped to develop innovative programs related to student support services, including holistic admissions, integrating the professionalism curriculum, service learning opportunities, leadership skills training, and improved student health and wellness support services, MSK education, and disability specific training across all 4 years of the undergraduate medical education curriculum.

Nethra Ankam, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She serves as the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education for the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She is also the Wellness Thread Director for JeffMD, Sidney Kimmel Medical College's recent curriculum revamp. In addition, she is Co-Director of the Jefferson Health Mentors Program, a program that places students in interprofessional teams to work with a community dwelling adult with chronic conditions. She also serves as Jefferson's Faculty Mentor for MedEdPORTAL.

Dr. Powell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and received board certification. Dr. Powell’s primary interests include Cancer Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Electromyography, and Spina bifida. She is involved in medical education and serves as one of eleven Learning Community Lead Mentors for the UAB School of Medicine. She also serves as the clerkship director for medical student rotations in PM&R at her institution.
