Vicki Coopmans, PhD, CRNA received her BSN from the University of Buffalo in 1991, a MS in Nurse Anesthesiology from Albany Medical College in 1996, and a PhD in Health Related Sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Allied Health in 2005. Since joining the Webster University Department of Nurse Anesthesia as an Associate Professor in August of 2014 she has been working on a platform of research to investigate the pathophysiologic mechanism of amniotic fluid embolism. In addition to her faculty and clinical practice, Dr. Coopmans serves on the Board of Trustees of the AANA Foundation, as Editor in Chief of the International Student Journal of Nurse Anesthesia, and is a Past President of the Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
