The AANA Foundation’s State-of-the-Science Oral Poster Session features sixteen CRNAs and/or SRNAs presenting their research findings classroom-presentation style. Each researcher is given 15 minutes in which to present their research and answer questions. Presentations will be focused in two areas – research and evidence based projects.

Dr. Ardigo is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and the Associate Program Director at Texas Wesleyan University Programs of Nurse Anesthesia. Texas Wesleyan GPNA faculty strive to develop creative and revelevant curriculum in the field of anurse anesthesia. This research was conducted when TWU GPNA first year didadtic students were introduced to an innovative and cutting edge diagnostic screening tool that is largely unused by anesthesia providers. The researchers hoped to demonstrate that use of this tool, with minimal training, could be a teaching technique that is viable to introduce into practice at any level of anesthesia expertise.
