The AANA Foundation’s State-of-the-Science Oral Poster Session features sixteen CRNAs and/or SRNAs presenting their research findings classroom-presentation style. Each researcher is given 15 minutes in which to present their research and answer questions. Presentations will be focused in two areas – research and evidence based projects.

Mike Loughren served 24 years in the United States Army where he held leadership positions in both the didactic and clinical phases of the United States Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing. His doctoral training at the University of Washington was in the field of pharmacokinetics where he completed projects in pharmacokinetic modeling and metabolic drug interactions. His research interests focus on optimizing pharmacologic therapy in trauma.
