Dan Simonson, CRNA is an actively-practicing CRNA currently doing ophthalmic and oral surgery anesthesia. Dan has lectured and published widely on the subject of anesthesia outcomes, ophthalmic anesthesia, ASC management and compliance, improving Board performance, and reimbursement issues. His most recent published work is “CRNA Prescribing Practices: The Washington State Experience” published 2011 in the AANA Journal. His 2007 article, Anesthesia Staffing and Anesthetic Complications During Cesarean Delivery (Nursing Research, 2007) was utilized in a recent Cochrane Review entitled Physician anaesthetists versus non-physician providers of anaesthesia for surgical patients (Cochrane Collaboration, 2014).
