There is inconsistent implementation of published evidence-based periopeartive guidelines by providers when managing patients at risk for obstructive sleep apnea. Learning Objectives:

Deborah A. Davison, DNAP, MS, CRNA

CRNA Program Director
Allegheny School of Anesthesia
Freedom, Pennsylvania

Dr. Davison has been Program Director of Allegheny School of Anesthesia,in Pittsburgh, Pa for 25 years and a practicing CRNA for even longer. She likes to think of herself as a role model for both her students and colleagues and believes that practicing CRNAs, regardless of their academic credentials, are in a unique position to integrate research, theory and practice to benefit patients. Evidence-based practice fosters growth and development while deemphasizing routine practices and today's presentation should encourage clinicians to question the status quo, research the evidence and implement the results of that research in your clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.
