Multimodal Pain Management: Is it Comprehensive? Is it Multi-Modal? Understanding the Multiple Modalities of Pain (.5 Class A CE)

This presentation will address knowledge gap in current state of the science on the generation, propagation, amplification and sustenance of pain among nurse anesthetists. It will address the gap in the understanding of non-nociceptive modalities of pain and how to address them within the context of a comprehensive multi-modal pain management strategy.

Graduated from University of Maryland Nurse Anesthesia Program in 2007. Practiced as a CRNA for 10 years. Completed PhD at University of Maryland Graduate School in 2016, with a focus on Chronic Pain, specifically neuropathic pain associated with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
