The American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Foundation (AANAF) malpractice closed claims analyses are scientific studies of adverse anesthetic events where a CRNA or SRNA was identified as potentially contributing to a negative patient outcome. This session will discuss findings from studies related to cardiovascular, documentation and transfer of care closed claims found int he AANAF closed claims database.

Marjorie Geisz-Everson has been a practicing CRNA for over 23 years and an educator for over 13 years. She has been on the AANA Foundation Closed Claims research team since 2013 and has participated in six closed claims research projects to date. She is a current member of the MedPro advisory board. MedPro is a malpractice insurance company. She is also a fellow of the National Academies of Practice.
