Business of Anesthesia & The Fundamentals of Practice Management

Becoming an Office-Based Professional (.75 Class A CE)

Sunday, September 23
11:45 AM - 12:30 PM
Location: Grand Ballroom, Sheraton Boston

You found the perfect office anesthesia job, you did your research and properly identified your worth and negotiated a contract that reflects your worth, now where do you go and what do you do to actually make this happen? Knowing your limitations and the limitations of your practice are key. Do not place yourself in a situation that puts your license, and our credibility as anesthesia providers, on the line.

Learning Objectives:

Brett B. Maxfield, MS, CRNA

President/CEO
Maxfield Healthcare Solutions
Rigby, Idaho

I received my undergraduate training at Brigham Young University - Idaho with an Associates of Science in Nursing and a Bachelors of Science, and I received my anesthesia training at the University of Michigan - Flint.

I have spent the past eight years running my own healthcare company, Maxfield Healthcare Solutions, PC, and have gained a wealth of knowledge about the inner workings of the healthcare world through contract negotiations, practitioner relations, business marketing, insurance negotiations, billing issues, and the day to day obligations of running an anesthesia staffing and healthcare consulting company. I have arranged anesthesia coverage for multiple settings including hospitals, clinics, and physicians’ offices; have consulted in the development and deployment of numerous office-based practices and ketamine clinics, and have negotiated contracts with multiple offices, healthcare groups, physicians, anesthesia providers, and individual patients themselves.
