Prompt and accurate management is necessary when a crises occurs in the OR. Treatment options for patients should be in line with the standard of care and decisions should be evidence based. OR crisis checklists improve patient outcomes. When viewed in a trigger films active learning format, adoption of checklists may be improved.

Interests include simulation education, interactive learning, and the education of multiple anesthesia topics including airway management, pediatric anesthesia, trauma anesthesia, and differential diagnosis with critical event management. Author of several published journal courses, Airway Management Chapter in the textbook Nurse Anesthesia by Nagelhout and Elisha, and one of the primary authors of "Critical Events in Anesthesia" published by the AANA. Currently practices as a CRNA at two major medical centers in an anesthesia team based model and in rural settings as an independent provider.
