Public Engagement Manager
Museum of Flight
Carla Bitter is the Public Engagement Manager for the Museum of Flight in Seattle WA. She has nearly 20 years of experience in creating, managing and delivering high impact and award winning public science education and outreach programs, interactive web and digital media projects and museum/zoo exhibits.
Before joining the museum, Carla was the Associate Director of Interpretive Engagements at Woodland Park Zoo, formerly the Chief of Outreach at Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, and is very proud to have served as the Education & Public Outreach Manager for NASA's Phoenix Mars Mission. She has served on multiple science education panels, museum advisory committees and climate change communication reviews. She holds an MS LSFC in Biology with concentrations in Molecular Genetics and Conservation Ecology and a BA in Anthropology/Archaeology.
