Associate Registrar of Exhibitions
The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art
Amanda A. Robinson, Associate Registrar of Exhibitions at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, earned her B.A. in Humanities and M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from Florida State University. During that time she had the good fortune to complete a variety of internships at the Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science, The Vero Beach Museum of Art, and The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, prior to beginning her career with The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art (LRMA) in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Affiliated with St. Petersburg College, Amanda served as the Collections Manager at LRMA helping to revive their collections policies and core documents in preparation for receiving their inaugural American Alliance of Museum Accreditation in 2013.
In 2014, Amanda returned to The John and Mable Ringling Museum as their Associate Registrar of Exhibitions to manage their growing and rigorous exhibition schedule. Since this time, Amanda has mounted a selection of large scale projects, with particular highlights including the installation of their new Center for Asian Art, as well as the coordination of their premiere 2017 winter show, "A Feast for the Senses: Art and Experience in Medieval Europe", jointly organized with The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2018, Amanda will continue her exhibition work managing the first-ever retrospective of electronic and interactive media artist Toni Dove.
