Laura Stewart, Collections Manager/Registrar at Miami University Art Museum, has more than fifteen years of experience working in museums, galleries, and non-profit arts settings. Stewart's academic background includes having earned an M.A. in art history with a museum studies graduate certificate from the University of Cincinnati (2003) and a B.A. in art history from the University of Kentucky (2000). She completed Ph.D. coursework at Arizona State University (2007) and has taught college-level art history and museum studies courses at several Southwestern Ohio universities since 2008.
Previous positions include Director, Georgetown College Fine Art Galleries; Assistant Director, Contemporary Dance Theatre (Cincinnati); Director of Education, Art Links (Cincinnati); Curator of Education, Arizona State University Art Museum; and Assistant Curator of Education, Contemporary Arts Center (Cincinnati). Since 2007, Stewart has been a consultant to Cincinnati's Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Art Gallery for its “Families Create!” children’s art-learning program.
