Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor
I am Emily Smithberger and the Librarian and Education Program Specialist at Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor. With an original interest in museum exhibit design, I pursued my Bachelor of Art's in Anthroplogy and Theater Arts at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. I focused on archaeology and theatrical design. However, my work in archaeology allowed me to develop a great interest in artifacts. I then changed my career focus to museum collections and curation. Wanting to specialize in a particular topic and follow a passion of mine, I went on to get my Master of Art's in Military History from Norwich University in Northfield, VT. After moving to Hawaii for my husband's military career, I found my calling with the Pacific Aviation Museum, and began working with the collection and using the collection to support the museum's education programming. I have a great passion for sharing the past and making history relevant in the mondern day.
