Dr. Caroll Koscheski is one of the senior members and co-founder of Gastroenterology Associates of Hickory, a private GI group in western North Carolina. Dr. Koscheski has been providing care to the residents of the area for 25 years. The practice includes private ownership of a state certified endoscopy ASC with three endoscopy suites. Dr. Koscheski has been involved in many aspects of practice involvement over the years, including contract negotiating, ASC development, and practice management. He has been involved in multiple leadership roles within the two hospitals in the community of Hickory, as well as with the ACG, where he has served as Chair of the ACG National Affairs Committee and ACG Governor representing North Carolina. He has also been involved in committee work at the request of the North Carolina Medical Society that includes a state-wide Colorectal Cancer Roundtable, and working with private insurance companies on their physician advisory boards. He is now also involved with CMS as a participant in the MACRA Episode Based Resource Use Measures Technical Expert Panel along with the MACRA Episodes-Based Measures Resource Use Clinical Committee which includes periodic meetings regarding the resource use component of MACRA.
