Irving M. Pike, MD, FACG, is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of John Muir Health located in Walnut Creek in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Dr. Pike is President of the John Muir Health Specialty Medical Group. He serves as President Elect of the ACG. Dr. Pike is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dallas, Parkland Memorial Hospital. He practiced gastroenterology in Virginia Beach, VA, from 1983-2012. Dr. Pike served on the Executive Committee of the Virginia Beach Medical Society as well as serving the society in a term as President. Dr. Pike has served on committees of the ACG and chaired the Practice Management committee. He served as co-chair of the 2005-2006 and 2014-2015 ACG/ASGE Task Force for the development of GI Endoscopic Quality Indicators.
