Dr. Amy Oxentenko completed IM Residency, Chief Residency and GI Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, being the recipient of one of the IM Residency's Outstanding Achievement Awards, the GI Division's Bargen Award, and the Institutional Mayo Brothers' Distinguished Fellowship Award. She served as the APD for the GI Fellowship for 5 years and as one of the APDs for the IM Residency for 3 years before taking over as the Program Director of the GI Fellowship and Advanced GI Fellowship Programs, a role she held for 3 years before taking over as the IM Residency Program Director. She has served as Associate Chair for Education for the Division of GI and Hepatology, and is now an Associate Chair for the Department of IM. She has been a Co-Director of Mayo's GI Board Review Course, and Co-Editor for the GI/Hepatology Board Review Book. She has been an author for GI MKSAP 14 and 15, and was the GI Book Editor for MKSAP 16 and 17. She has also served as the GI content writer for the IM In-Training Examination. She is past Chair of the ACG's Women in GI Committee, past member of the ACG Training Committee, serves on ACG's Educational Affairs Committee and the MOC Task Force, and chairs the ACG Self-Assessment Test Committee. She helped create and has Co-Chaired the ACG Train-the-Trainer program, and now serves as Vice Chair for the WGO's TTT Program. She has also been the ACG representative for the Multi-Society GI Program Director Caucus. She was a recipient of the ACG/Salix Leadership Training Award, and attended the High Potential Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. She has been appointed to the ACGME Review Committee for IM. She was a recipient of the Department of IM Distinguished Contributions to Medical Education Award.
