Dr. Jaw-Town Lin received his Bachelor degree in 1978, and MD/PhD at Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine, National Taiwan University in 1986. He completed his residency and fellowship training at the Department of Internal Medicine, National Taiwan University Hospital. He was promoted as the professor of Internal Medicine, National Taiwan University in 1995. He is the Dean and Chair Professor of College of Medicine, Fu-Jen Catholic University; and Professor Emeritus, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. He is currently the President of Gastroenterological Society of Taiwan (GEST) and the Councilor of Asian-Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE). Dr. Lin is a physician scientist and gastroenterologist. He has actively involved in the basic, clinical, and epidemiological research of digestive endocopy, pancreatic cancer, peptic ulcer disease, H. pylori infection, and gastric cancer. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed articles in these areas. He is now serving as the editor of Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Gut, Helicobacter, Hepato-gastroenterology, Digestive Endoscopy, and Therapeutic Advances in Gastroenterology.
