Dr. Dominguez-Muñoz is the Director of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University Hospital of Santiago de Compostela. He is a Past-President of the Spanish Society of Gastroenterology (SEPD), and of the Spanish Foundation of Gastroenterology. He has served as an Editor-in-Chief for the Spanish Journal of Gastroenterology. Dr. Dominguez-Muñoz is a member of the editorial board of several international journals in the field of Pancreatology and Gastroenterology. His research areas of interest include: pancreas and GI physiology and pathophysiology; acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer; GI and pancreatic function tests; and inflammatory bowel disease. He has contributed to the editing of 7 books, and has authored 241 papers in PubMed, 101 book chapters, and 708 abstracts in scientific meetings. Dr. Dominguez-Muñoz has also delivered over 200 lectures at scientific meetings of International Medical Societies.
