Dr. Abdo is a consultant physician and gastroenterologist, and intrventional endoscopist. His areas of interest include: ERCP, variceal bleeding, capsule endoscopy, HBV infection, and HCC. Dr. Abdo is the Secretary General of the Sudanese Society of Gastroenterologyand of the PanArab Association of Gastroenterology. He also serves as the Director of WGO Khartoum Training Centre and the General Director of the National Centre for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases. Dr. Abdo received his medical degree at the Kuban State Academy Russia and did training in gastroenterology at NCGLD in Sudan.

Dr. Abraham is Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic, Arizona. She is cross-appointed in the Division of Health Care Policy and Research, Department of Health Sciences Resesarch, at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, and serves as the Arizona Site Director for the Samuel and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Healthcare Delivery. Dr. Abraham's clinical practice and research is focused on the epidemiology and prevention of adverse GI events among cardiac and elderly patients prescribed complex antithrombotic therapy (ASA, NSAID, anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs). At the Mayo Clinic CardioGI clinic in Arizona, she works together with cardiologists and hematologists to promote risk-minimization and ensure a collaborative model of care for cardiac patients. Her resesarch has been funded by federal and non-federal sources, Dr. Abraham served as a Trustee of the American College of Gastroenterology from 2009-2015.
