Strengthening The Arcs Presence
Target Audience: Family Members
This interactive session will cause you to take a good look at...wait for it... YOU! Why do you do what you do? What is your motivation? Is it different now than when you first started in this field? We will assess the framework, environment, and daily grind of your day. If you came to innovate, motive, and collaborate, this session is where you want to be. By combining group discussions with the sharing of promising practices this presentation will explore techniques that will bring a renewed attitude and effort to your corner of The Arc. Consequently, participants will leave armed with tools, renewed spirits, and an action plan for progress.

Rick recently released his first book, "Keep It Together Man," for dads with children with special needs. It is based on his experiences as a husband and father of five; 3 of whom are on the Autism Spectrum, one who has Asperger's Syndrome and another with Down Syndrome.
Marriage, children, money and everyday battles take their toll on any parent. Adding a child with special needs into that mix and it's an entirely different ball game. Rick navigates a clear path through the roller coaster of different lives. The challenges and triumphs that mold families together are celebrated. Get ready to laugh, cry and be inspired by the keeping-it-real dad who offers life changing solutions and tools to all parents, caregivers or anyone who wants to empower their life and shape the brightest future.
