In a mission to boost its breakfast experience for guests, community-focused Baymont Inn and Suites is championing an innovative collaboration with The Arc@Work. This session will give an overview of this national partnership to support the hiring of individuals with I/DD in Hometown Host positions across the United States.

Presenters will go over internal marketing initiatives to connect people with I/DD to individual Baymont franchises and how The Arc@Work is partnering with local chapters to recruit, place, and support talent in Hometown Hosts positions across the U.S.

Jonathan Lucus

Jonathan Lucus is the Director of The Arc@Work at The Arc. He is responsible for overseeing the development of innovative workforce solutions for the federal government, Fortune 500 companies and local organizations. He also serves as a state commissioner for the District of Columbia's State Rehabilitation Agency.

Before joining The Arc, Jonathan was a consultant for the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement where his work was recognized as an international best practice by the United Nations. He has written language for Congressional legislation that was passed into law and has provided consultation to the United Nations, European Union, Department of State and various countries around the world.

He received his Executive Master's degree in global business leadership from Georgetown University, a MPA from the UNCG, certification of Russian language and culture from Lomonosov Moscow State University, and a BS in Psychology from Greensboro College.

Ally Wallo

Ally Wallo serves as the Brand Marketing Manager for several Wyndham Hotel Group's midscale brands, including Baymont Inn & Suites, Ramada Worldwide and the Trademark Hotel Collection.

Ally is no stranger to non-profit organizations as she previously spent 5 years at the American Cancer Society directing Relay For Life events to raise money to fund life-saving cancer research, patient support services, prevention and education information, and detection and treatment programs.

Ally holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. She is based in the company's Parsipanny, NJ offices.

Greg Giordano

Vice President Brand Operations

Greg Giordano serves as Vice President, Brand Operations for Baymont Inn & Suites and is responsible for overseeing strategic direction, financial and operations management, brand positioning and leading the brand's franchise advisory committee.

Prior to his current role, Giordano held a number of a high-level operations positions within Wyndham Hotel Group, including director and senior director level roles with the company's Ramada, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham and former AmeriHost brands.

He joined Wyndham Hotel Group in 2003 as a Franchise Services Manager after spending three years with Marriott International.

Giordano holds a bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Facilities Management from West Virginia University and his master's degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.

He's based in the company's Parsippany, N.J. offices.

Fred Keen is the Director of Hotel Operations for Baymont Inn & Suites Celebration, Florida. With over 35 years in the hospitality industry, he has seen many trends that have impacted the industry; however the one thing that remains the same is that all guest deserve the highest level of service possible. To achieve that level of service, Fred knows his employees are the key to his success. It is finding the right person for the right job, providing employees with the tools needed to get the job done and implementing a continuous training program for each employee. His bottom line is simple, a happy employee makes happy guests. Each and every employee must be acknowledged for their contribution to the overall operations of the hotel.

Fred holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from Georgia Southern University and is a Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive by AHLA.
