Assistant Dean of Global Initiatives

Anne M. D’Angelo, Ph.D., has worked in international education and development for more than twenty five years and serves as NAFSA's Chair of Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship Knowledge Community. She is Assistant Dean of Global Initiatives at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota where she leads the internationalization strategy including institutional partnerships, education abroad programs, and offshore global executive MBA programs. Anne also serves as an adjunct graduate faculty member in the College of Education and Human Development and is a certified executive and life coach. Prior to her work in Minnesota, Anne worked overseas in Central and Eastern Europe, the Republic of Georgia and Japan. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Organizational Leadership, Policy and Development with a specialization in Comparative and International Development Education. Anne’s research interests include how institutional missions are enhanced by internationalization strategies and the impact of education abroad participation on a range of personal development factors in students. She also is among the campus leaders who developed the University of Minnesota and Carlson School’s metrics models for internationalization.
