Martine Angrand

Assistant Director, ISS (DSO)
University of Florida

Martine Angrand is a DSO, F-1 International Student Advisor at the University of Florida International Center, Gainesville, FL. She joined the UFIC as an International Student Advisor in January 2006 and as of July 2011, is currently the Assistant Director of International Student Services.

Along with five other International Student Advisors, Martine assists over 6,500 students with all aspects of being an F-1 International Student. She has presented at state and regional conferences, including being a co-trainer for F-1 Student Advising for Beginners (NAFSA FAIE 2015) and F-1 Intermediate Student Advising (NAFSA FAIE 2016). She also co-presents at the Immigration 101 for UF Faculty and Staff, the UF Graduate Coordinators Workshop, and is the UF Career and Resource Center liaison for staff and employer education regarding International Student regulations.

She speaks fluent English and Creole and understands French and Spanish better than she speaks it. She hopes to one day convince her F-1 students that the information she provides them is, more than likely, more correct than what "My Friend" said.
