Senior International Trade Specialist
U.S. Department of Commerce
Debra Rogers is a Senior International Trade Specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Service in Chicago. The mission of her agency is to expand U.S. exports of goods and services. Ms. Rogers has focused on expanding educational services exports, has served as national Education Team Leader for her agency, and in 2003 spearheaded the establishment of Study Illinois, one of the first state-based international education consortia. Its focus is on promoting the quality educational opportunities offered in state of Illinois to international students & professionals. She has spoken about her work at numerous national & regional conferences.
The Graduate Management Admission Council®
Matt Hazenbush is Research Communications Senior Manager for the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). He supports GMACâ€™s commitment to advance the art and science of admissions through writing research-focused web content and reports on issues affecting graduate management education and leading presentations and workshops at industry conferences. He earned a B.A. in History and Communication from Boston College, and an Ed.M. in Higher Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Associate Director of Graduate International Outreach
University of Florida
Matt Mitterko is the Associate Director of Graduate International Outreach in the Graduate School at the University of Florida, and has been involved in international education at UF since 2011.
He is responsible for developing international outreach efforts for prospective and continuing graduate students. He works with administrative and external constituents to coordinate international recruitment and admissions, to liaise with external sponsoring agencies and graduate programs, and to facilitate the creation of international dual-degree programs.
Mr. Mitterko began his career in graduate education at the Graduate School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, coordinating strategic university-wide fellowship programs from internal and external funding sources. He received his BA in economics and philosophy from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, and his MA in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Dean of International Recruitment
Steven C. Richman is the Dean of International Recruitment for Enrollment Management at Hofstra University, where he leads all aspects of a comprehensive international admission & recruitment operation for both undergraduate and graduate studies. Additionally, Steve currently teaches courses for the Law School as an adjunct professor.
Prior to joining the office of enrollment, Steve was the Senior Director for Global Initiatives at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he was responsible for all aspects of international affairs. His role included management of school-wide strategic planning, oversight of LL.M and graduate legal studies, international faculty/student exchange, numerous study abroad programs; as well as several other global outreach initiatives.
Before joining Hofstra, he served as an associate at a New York law firm, where he focused in international business and real estate transactions for internal and external clients. Steve has also served as an adjunct professor of business law and alternative dispute resolution, where he taught in-house for Wells Fargo, NY Municipal Credit Union and Federal Express.
Steve received his B.A. from Hofstra University, J.D. from Hofstra Law School, and his M.A. from Columbia University. As a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations, he is licensed to practice law in both jurisdictions.
