Engage prospective international students using familiar virtual recruitment tools in new and innovative ways. Presenters share their expertise in tactics such as webinars, e-communication, digital marketing, and social media strategies. This presentation features an interactive webinar demonstration to encourage participation and improve familiarity.

Andrew J. Rapin

Associate Director of Admissions (CSSW)
Columbia University

Andrew has longstanding experience in undergraduate and graduate international admissions and enrollment management at both private and public institutions as well as creating digital marketing strategies, hosting more than 100 virtual and in-person events annually, in addition to extensive recruitment travel focused on inbound international students. Previously, he has acted as the NYU Tandon School of Engineering liaison for admissions related partnerships between foreign governments, NGOs, sponsored student organizations, and agencies of the US government. Aiding in the processing of more than 10,000 applications throughout the year (85% coming from international applicants), he has developed a thorough understanding of the complexities of documentation and issues in the admissions process. Andrew currently serves as the Associate Director of Admissions at the Columbia University School of Social Work.

Gabrielle Gannon

Director of Graduate Admissions
Long Island University

Gabrielle Gannon is currently the Director of Graduate Admissions at Long Island University Brooklyn. At LIU, Gabrielle oversees admission to 72 master's, doctoral, and advanced certificate programs. Prior to LIU, Gabrielle served as Senior Assistant Director at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. At NYU, Gabrielle conducted global recruitment travel in key strategic markets, including China, Taiwan, Korea, Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and throughout the United States. Gabrielle has also worked in admissions at Pace University and Baruch College. In 2014 Gabrielle earned her MSEd in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College's School of Public Affairs.
