Kathleen Grzegorek is a certified specialist in immigration and nationality law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Grzegorek is a cofounder of Stone Grzegorek & Gonzalez LLP, a full service, 18-attorney immigration law firm in Los Angeles. Ms. Grzegorek has published and made presentations frequently for NAFSA and AILA on immigration issues affecting academia and research institutions. She is the past chair of the Students and Scholars Committee for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Cheryl Gilman

Cheryl Gilman is the Director of Faculty/Staff Visa Services at the University of Southern California, overseeing all employment-based immigration processing for the university (NIV and LPR). She started working in immigration law in 1996 as a paralegal at top, high-volume immigration law firms in Los Angeles. In 2004, she began working in international education. She has served as Region XII Regulatory Ombud for Scholars, and also on NAFSA's ISSS-RP Committee for Employment-Based matters. She has presented at several regional and national NAFSA conferences.

University of Alaska Fairbanks

Carol Holz is the Associate Director for Immigration Compliance at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). She is also a licensed CPA in Texas and Alaska. With over 10 years of experience in international education, immigration, and tax compliance, she currently works with Fs, Js, H-1Bs, TNs, and PRs. Carol has been a member of NAFSA since 2003, having served on the Region I leadership team as the Alaska Rep., KCISSS Liaison and Scholar Regulatory Ombud. She has worked with NAFSA Trainer Corps, primarily with immigration and tax-related workshops, since 2006 at the regional and national levels. She currently serves as the ISS RP Regulatory Ombud "RegBud" Subcommittee Chair.
