International educators are expected to provide intercultural guidance to outgoing study abroad students and incoming international students, as well as to other constituents on an increasingly diverse campus. The manner in which these intercultural experiences are navigated can impact cultural adjustment and inclusion. Move beyond intercultural theory to develop a facilitative framework for supporting intercultural learning among students, scholars, faculty, and staff.

Dyane Koreman is Head of the International Event, Music and Entertainment CE team at the Fontys Academy for Creative Industries, the Netherlands. She graduated from Tilburg University with a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, having spent half a year abroad in Australia on an exchange programme. Dyane is an international higher education professional with more than 15 years of experience as head of an international office, responsible for strategic policy development, international relations, international programme management (eg double degrees), student and staff mobility, admission, marketing and recruitment and guidance of international students. She has a passion for coaching, training and teambuilding, and has been a (lead) trainer for workshops in the fields of managing the education abroad office and intercultural communication at many conferences.

Perri Schodorf

Assistant Director of International Admissions & Outreach
Bellevue College Office of International Education

Perri Schodorf is the Assistant Director of International Admissions & Outreach at Bellevue College. She has worked in international admissions, marketing and recruiting for more than 6 years. Previously she also taught German at the University of Oregon. She has presented at region 1 conferences, with a focus on international admissions from a community college perspective. During her undergrad, she studied abroad in Germany. She completed two master’s degrees: German Language & Literature (University of Oregon) and Post-Secondary Adult & Continuing Education (Portland State University).

Bradley C. Huggins

Assistant Director of International Student Success
Bellevue College Office of International Education

Brad Huggins is the Assistant Director of International Student Success at Bellevue College, overseeing academic, F-1 visa and student life advising for over 1100 students. Brad has held many roles in both International Education and Student Affairs, including extensive international advising and as a Primary Designated School Official. Brad has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Language and Culture with a TESOL Certification and a Masters of Education in Student Affairs Administration. Besides his role as a trainer he has served as the KCISSS Representative and other roles for the NAFSA Region I team.
