Samantha Lu has been working in the field of international education for more than 21 years. She is an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, serving in many roles both at regional and national levels. Samantha was an NAFSA Academy mentor. She is also the lead trainer for NAFSA certification educational programs. She has presented and facilitated numerous sessions and workshops at the AIEA and NAFSA. She served on the Annual Conference Planning committee and is the Past-Chair for the International Student and Scholar Services Knowledge Community (KCISSS). She has served as the Region X and Bi-region Conference Chair and is a NAFSA Trainer Crops trainer Working group. She is the current Region X Chair. In addition to NAFSA, she also serves as a NAFSA United Nations rep. and is currently serving on the UN/DPI NGO Executive Committee.
Sal Longarino is the director of the Office for International Services at Fordham University. After retiring from NYU, in 2000, he began his career at Fordham where he served 300 international students. Today, his staff has grown to five professionals serving over 3000 students. His previous roles include chair of the Study New York Consortium; NAFSA's National Chair, Knowledge Community ISSS. He has received awards including NAFSA's Advocate of the Year in 2010. He is a member of Training Corps and recently was one of the three authors creating the new version for the J1 Beginners curriculum.

Charlie Hammons is an International Student Advisor in Georgia Tech's ISSS office. During his 3+ years in that position, he has helped to support the 4,000 F-1 Students and 500 J-1 Scholars. In addition, Charlie works with Georgia Tech's incoming exchange program. In that position, he works with GT's partner institutions around the world to help brink 150-200 non-degree students per year to the Georgia Tech campus.
