At the University of Utah, Rick advises students from the David Eccles School of Business, College of Engineering, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and College of Humanities. He also coordinates select faculty-led programs from the College of Social and Behavioral Science. Rick is on the Pre-Departure Team and is the main contact for outgoing exchanges and student advising for the Utah Asia Campus. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Italian from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master’s degree in International Studies with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon.

Eric Boscan

Eric is originally from Salt Lake City and joined Learning Abroad at the University of Utah in June 2016 after relocating back to Salt Lake City from Denver, Colorado, where he attended graduate school. Having grown up in a multi-cultural family, Eric has traveled and lived in Panama, Venezuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Amsterdam, and Egypt. Eric advises students in the College of Health and all the Health Sciences (Nursing, Pharmacy, Dental, and Medicine). He is the lead coordinator for the Exchange Team and works directly with the incoming exchange students to the University of Utah. Eric has worked at the University of Denver as a graduate assistant in their Office of International Education and Office of International Student & Scholar Services. In addition he worked as an Admissions Counselor at the University of Utah. Eric holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle East Studies –Arabic and Mass Communication from the University of Utah and a Master’s degree from the at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.
