Using the Association of Research and College Libraries Framework for Information Literacy for higher education, we designed this poster presentation tailored towards international students that includes interactive instruction on the consequences of plagiarism and the cultural differences in the United State on independent scholarship.

Joy Doan (joy.doan@csun.edu) is a tenure-track faculty at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and a Research, Instruction and Outreach Librarian in the Oviatt Library. Prior to joining the faculty at CSUN, Joy held a position at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she served as the Music Inquiry and Research Librarian. Joy holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Music from the University of Michigan, an M.A. in Music History from Case Western Reserve University, and an Master of Library and Information Science degree from San Jose State University.
