C. A. Thomas is an intercultural program specialist and language and culture exchange instructor at Purdue University. She earned an MSc in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from the University of Oxford, an MA in Educational Leadership and Policy--Comparative Education from Beijing Normal University, and a BA in English Language Arts Education, International Education, and English as a New Language from Anderson University. She has taught English in eight countries including a Fulbright English teaching Assistantship in Slovakia. Her research and professional interests include comparative & international education, intercultural development, study abroad, service learning, educational language policy, applied linguistics, English teaching, TESOL, English as the medium of instruction, world Englishes, literacy, teacher training, curriculum development, and writing & editing.
