This poster analyzes initiatives at universities funded via Japan’s Top Global University Project. It highlights successful activities and opportunities for involvement with Japanese institutions.

Annette Bradford

Annette Bradford, Ed.D is an associate professor at Meiji University in Tokyo. Her current research focuses on student mobility and the internationalization of Japanese universities with a particular focus on English-medium instruction. Before joining Meiji University, she completed a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellowship in Japan where she examined how international exchange contributes to national policy objectives. She holds a doctorate in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from the George Washington University and a Masters degree in Linguistics (TESOL) from the University of Surrey. She has spent most of her adult life working in Asia. Her research on the interplay between language, culture, internationalization, and effective outcomes can be found in publications such as the Journal of Studies in International Education, International Higher Education, Asian Education and Development Studies, and US Naval Institute Proceedings.
