Vladimir Khizhnyak is Head of International Office, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU), and Associate Professor at the Institute of International Educational Programs, SPbPU, Russia. He was visiting professor at College of Business, State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2012-2013; Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University, Atlanta, GA, USA in 2002–2003 and Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, VA, USA in 1998-1999. Previously, he served as Head for Development & Support of Regional Networks at Insurance Compay “Russky Mir Inc.” (2003-2006) and Associate Dean/Professor/Captain (Colonel) of the Russian Navy at the Naval School, Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy (1997–2002). Vladimir Khizhnyak holds a Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy (1989) and an MBA degree from Kennesaw State University, Atlanta, Georgia, USA (2003). Also he is a two-time Fulbright Scholar.
