As the Head Academic Advisor of the American English Institute at the University of Oregon, Angela Dornbusch assists IEP students as they navigate their new communities and prepare for undergraduate and graduate studies. She is an advocate of her program’s students throughout the university and works to not only help international students integrate into the American education system, but also educate university representatives about the importance of intensive language students’ success as it relates to the internationalization of American universities. Angela has been a teacher/teacher trainer for over 18 years in countries including the Kingdom of Tonga, New Zealand, Taiwan, and the United States. Prior to advising international students at the University of Oregon, she was the Coordinator of Student Affairs at the Intensive English Communication Program at the Pennsylvania State University. Angela received an MA in TESOL from San Francisco State University.
