Sylvia Rusin earned a B.A. in Sociology and Hispanic Studies from Illinois Wesleyan Universtiy, and an M.A. in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. She has been working as a researcher and advocate with a focus on increasing higher education acccessibility and affordability for vulnerable students populations (including undocumented and DACA youth and refugee students) for over five years. She has published research with the Migration Policy Institute and Information Age Publishing. Currently, Sylvia works as a Policy and Research Specialist at WES Global Talent Bridge and the IMPRINT Coalition, and is also a member of the WES Refugee Thought Leadership Group.
