Melissa Vivian is the Director of Academic Internships for Global Experiences, developing custom internship programs with university and colleges. She is a licensed mental health counselor and lecturer with a Master's degree in Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. Melissa has been working in higher education for over ten years, counseling, teaching and supervising the internships of students in New York City and London. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois and has extensive international experience, studying abroad at Oxford University, working on a diving boat in Australia and acting as the European Placement and London Program Director for Global Experiences. Melissa led the implementation of Global Experiences’ Gallup Strengths program and has been a creative influence on how to engage students in career development during their internship experience. She has presented at numerous conferences including NAFSA, GIC, NSEE, and CIEE.
