Lowell Kent Davis is a native of Dallas, Texas. Lowell attended Hampton University where he graduated with Honors with a degree in English Arts-Secondary Education. Lowell has a Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis on College Student Development. Lowell received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs with a minor in Counseling and African American Studies from Indiana University. Lowell currently serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Success at Western Carolina University.

Brian J. Gorman

Brian Gorman is the Director of Mentoring and Persistence to Success (MAPS) at Western Carolina University. MAPS is WCU's first generation, independent, and low income student support office that also coordinates early start, bridge, and pre-college summer programs. Brian hails from Champaign, IL, having achieved Masters degrees in Higher Education Student Affairs (2009) as well as Sport Administration (2017), both from Eastern Illinois University.
