International Student Advisor
University of Texas-Austin
Jessica Luhn is employed by the University of Texas-Austin as an International Student Advisor and has worked in the International Office here since September 2015. She is also the ESL Lead who advises students who are admitted into the ESL Program at The University of Texas at Austin as well as advising degree seeking international students at the university. She previously worked in the field of international education for two years as an F-1 Foreign Student Advisor at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville as well as having lived and taught abroad for several years in France. While at the University of Arkansas, she was also a member of NAFSA and co-presented a session at the Region III Conference in Northwest Arkansas in October 2013. In March 2015, Jessica also has presentation experience from co-presenting a session at the Region 7 Conference for NACADA, National Academic Advising Association, where she presented on assisting sophomores with major exploration from her experience as an academic advisor at Texas State University. Even while an academic advisor, she worked with international students at Texas State University by joining the International Minds Committee which organized and implemented student activities and field trips each semester for the international community.
International Scholar Advisor
The University of Texas at Austin
After spending two years gaining a second Bachelors degree and a Masters degree from abroad in New Zealand and Scotland, Drew joined the international education field with the Humphrey Fellowship Program at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN in 2012. Since then, he has been an international student advisor at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA and is currently an international scholar advisor at The University of Texas at Austin. He has attended multiple NAFSA national, regional, and state level conferences, having presented at the Georgia Associate of International Educators and NAFSA Region VII conferences in 2014, both in sessions and poster presentations.
