Deshini Newman leads the Global Product Management of the Higher Education and Adult Sector strategy at Cambridge English. She has more than 20 years' experience in the global education industry. Deshini has been with Cambridge Assessment for 10 years and has worked predominantly on strategic global businesss development.

Prior to joining Cambridge English she led the international English testing unit at a UK awarding body and worked on the strategy and delivery of a new international business unit and global English test at a global FTSE 100 education company.

Deshini’s key professional interest is digital testing and learning solutions and their impact to increase employability globally. In the last year Deshini has been leading the launch of a new online testing solution, Linguaskill, to support the Higher Education and Pathways Sector.

Deshini holds an MA from the University of Cambridge, a degree in commercial law, an MSc (Teaching English for Specific Purposes), MBA (Publishing) and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
